My name is Kadence Gavi and I am a Canadian artist who grew up in a small town named Whitecourt, Alberta. I started painting in 2014, while I was in the sixth grade. Since then, I have been developing my work independently, drawing from the rural life I have grown up around. Painting figuratively; I attempt to tell stories, and draw on memories that I believe a lot of people can relate to. I love to bring texture and vibrant colours into my artwork. Mixing realism with expressive brushwork to create movement and feeling. I think a lot about where my work ends up. It matters to me that someone connects with a piece enough to live with it every day.
